Wait a moment before you go around the corner. An incredible sight awaits you.
Are you ready?
Up high on the left there are two big buildings, these look like twins too: one renovated, the other old building is there with its dignified beauty.
The big haybarn was made of stones collected in the fields and riverbeds, together with wood, glass, and fragments of roof tiles. This is the evidence showing that to build, everything nature made available in the near vicinity was utilized and was amalgamated together perfectly. The construction model is like that of all the other buildings: stable, haybarn, loft.
Centrally positioned, the big wood-stack in a mosaic style, “The enchanting Mountain”, was the first one to be made, it is the most spectacular, as it has transformed a sad electricity cabin made in cement into a masterpiece of storytelling in wood. Tiny pieces of wood have been patiently inserted and result in a masterful inlay that tells the poetry of the mountains. A game of images and words which allude to the seduction of the eye and ear, in a partnership between landscape and music. There is a background of majestic peaks, bell towers stand out, centuries old trees, flowering meadows and noble deer dance the notes of the music. The church of St, John’s set on the meadows of Liendri which are up in the mountains behind you, they are all here; on the staves you can see the notes of the beginning of a popular song dedicated to this place. If you listen carefully you might even hear the bells ringing.
Just a little more effort and then it is all downhill.
